DIRECTIONS to Miranda's Rescue: 1603 Sandy Prairie Road, Fortuna, CA 95540
From the North: Take Hwy 101 South to Fortuna. You'll pass the cities of Loleta and then Ferndale. The next town is Fortuna. We are just south of Fortuna's Kenmar exit. Continue on Hwy 101 to Exit 685 36 East. At the top of the ramp turn right at the stop sign and then turn right onto Sandy Prairie Road. Drive 1 mile on the this winding road. You should see the private Miranda Ranch entrance with the big "M". Please do not drive down this driveway unless you have an appt or tour scheduled to see animals other than dogs/cats. For the Dog & Cat Sanctuary, Rescue & Adoption Facility turn right at the Main Entrance onto Drake Hill Road and you should see the open gates on your left.
From the South: Take Hwy 101 North to Fortuna. We are just 10min north of Rio Dell and 2min north of The Gem Mineral Shop. Continue on Hwy 101 North to EXIT 685 36 East. Miranda's Rescue is a 50 acre facility with 30 working acres. We are located on the corner of Drake Hill & Sandy Prairie Roads. Our property is divided into two sections. The Drake Hill Road entrance houses our wonderful, hugable and adoptable dogs, puppies, cats & kittens while the Sandy Prairie Road entrance houses the large & small animals up for adoption as well as sanctuary animals.
