The Miranda's Rescue Thrift Shop raises money to help care for the shelter animals by selling a wide variety of donated items. Clothing, furniture, books, toys, small kitchen appliances, and other treasures can be found at the shop at 822 S. Fortuna Blvd (The old Salvation Army Building) in Fortuna. The Thrift Shop is open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on Sunday.

When can I drop off donations?

If you would like to donate items for sale, please bring them by during DONATIONS HOURS - Monday thru Saturday 10am - 4pm and Sunday 12pm - 4pm.

What items can I donate?

If you have furniture, we can pick it up! Donated clothing must be clean without stains or holes. Because so many people drop computers and typewriters that don't work, these items are not accepted. Other electrical items are accepted if they are in working order. Please don't bring in items that you would not buy yourself. Unsaleable items cost money to dispose of and reduce the funds available for the animals.

Can I leave donations outside the thrift store after hours?

PLEASE NO! It is illegal to leave items anywhere on the property after hours! Local authorities will be called and you will be summoned to pick them up. If you can't bring the items during donation hours, please call the store. We will be happy to make arrangements.
