SUE WAHLER wins truck!

Pictured above is Dean Paris, lucky winner Sue Wahler of McKinleyville, MR Thrift Store District Mgr. Brian Paris, Ray's Used Cars 725-6225 owner Ray Ambrosini, Shannon Miranda and Ray's wife, Stefanie Ambrosini, owner of Stefanie's Doggie Detailing 725-6900. For the rescue's 15th Anniversary, rescue supporters, Ray & Stefanie, donated the Chevy Z71 4x4 Truck at auction price. Additional donations came from Dave the "Detail Doctor" and Maryann & her crew at S&H Auto Glass...Bless You All! $10.00 tickets were sold to raise the money. Mirandas' sold an additional 350 tickets over and above the auction price, which means $3,500 went directly to help Miranda's animals! Bless you and thank you Ray and Stefanie for working with us to make our 15th Anniversary Year 1995-2010 very special and memorable. And to our wonderful animal-lovin' community who supported this fundraiser by purchasing tickets, THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!

NEW IN 2010
CO-OP # 88-82012!

New Rabbit Hutches!

10 Million thank you's to our Vice President, Nancy, and her good friend Luis for building the rescue's new rabbit hutches! Partial funding came from a grant by the House Rabbit Society, discounted lumber from Craig Berry & Gina at Forbusco. Luis came 800 miles to do this for the rescue! We would welcome back Luis and his family anytime! Many blessings to you both and the House Rabbit Society. Safe travels Luis!

CARGO VAN BLESSING!

The shelter received an anonymous gift of a cargo van! The donors wish only that it be donated for the benefit of animals in the name of their beloved housecat of over 23 years and their other furry rescued friends that have passed away but never forgotten - Rusty, Baby, Sara, Robbie and Lucky. Fortuna Vinyl Graphics donated the logo and phone number on the van and Sharp Autographics donated dark tint for the windows. The van has now logged over 40,000 miles OVER THE LAST 2YRS.
We use it for everything; from animal rescue to thrift store donation pick-ups. The van came with a wheel chair lift and the rescue paid it forward by gifting it to a local gentleman in desperate need of a lift for his van. You can read his story in our 2010 Spring Newsletter due out in April.  Just click the newsletter link at the top of this page. Having the lift has brought a world of joy to Danny! Bless the anonymous donors for their truly wonderful gift!

Shown below is the hard work of anonymous Donors that generously stepped forward to build a new enclosure for the Parakeets, Diamond Doves, Button Quail, Finches and Cockatiels. They're living in a Lil Bit of Heaven now! Bless you and Thank you!

The old aviary and the new aviary!

CANINE CASTLE FUNDRAISER: Miranda's Animal Rescue in 2008 launched a "Kid Heroes Campaign" to help raise donations for the future "Canine Castle", a 6,800 sq. foot customized steel building for homeless dogs and puppies. Before the end of 2008, this campaign had raised about $40,000 in cash, materials and promised labor. The estimated cost of this project is $232,000. Donations can be deposited at Redwood Capitol Bank and we are selling engraved bricks to pave the way to the front door when this building is finally erected. Applications for bricks are available at the thrift store and at our shelter office. Or click here to download a brick application. Brick sample shown below with Charley, the friendly llama, who is part of our Petting Zoo.

The Animal Relief Fund (ARF) has raised well over $2,000 for the shelter by hosting car washes, yard sales, raffles, creating perpetual calendars and greeting cards! You kids are incredible and your hard work has helped give so many of Miranda's animals the chance at new and happy lives in loving permanent homes!!! Thank you!!!!!
